Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Telltail Dynamics LLC ("Telltail," "we," "us") collects, uses and shares information when you visit telltailhq.com and its subdomains (the "Site") or use Telltail's point of sale software and related services (together with the Site, the "Services").

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Early-access and contact requests. Your email address, and anything else you choose to send us.
• Account information. When your shop signs up, the names, email addresses, phone numbers and business details of the shop and its staff.
• Billing information. Payment details for your subscription are collected and held by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
• Support communications. Messages you send us and our replies.

Information collected automatically

• Technical data. Your IP address, browser user agent, and the date and time of your request. We record these with an early-access sign-up to help prevent spam and abuse.
• Bot protection. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes information about your browser and device to tell people from automated traffic. Cloudflare's use of that information is governed by its own privacy policy.
• Service logs. When you use the Services, we keep logs of activity such as sign-ins, errors and changes to records, for security, troubleshooting and audit.

The Site does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers. The Services use cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to protect against forged requests.

Shop data

Shops that use Telltail store information about their own customers, sales, inventory and work orders in the Services ("Shop Data"). Each shop decides what Shop Data to collect and is responsible for it. We process Shop Data on the shop's behalf and only to provide the Services, as described in our agreement with that shop. If you are a customer of a shop that uses Telltail, please contact the shop about your information; we will help the shop respond to your request.

How we use information

• To provide, maintain and improve the Services.
• To create and manage accounts and process payments.
• To tell you when Telltail is available, and to send service, security and billing notices.
• To respond to questions and provide support.
• To detect, prevent and investigate fraud, abuse and security incidents.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

How we share information

We share information only as follows:

• Service providers that host, secure and operate the Services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, email delivery, text messaging, payment processing and bot protection. They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
• Legal requirements. When we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, subpoena or other legal process, or is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of Telltail, our users or others.
• Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
• With your consent or at your direction, including integrations a shop chooses to connect.

Retention

We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes above. We keep early-access sign-ups until Telltail launches to you or you ask us to remove you. We keep account information and Shop Data for as long as the shop's account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to allow export, resolve disputes and meet legal and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or de-identified.

Security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and separate databases for each shop. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any message or by writing to us. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To make a request, email support@telltailhq.com. We will verify your request and respond as required by applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Children

The Services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

United States

Telltail is operated in the United States and is intended for shops in the United States. Information we collect is stored and processed in the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and if the changes are material we will give notice through the Services or by email.
